Enzymatic Conversion of Hydrolysis Lignin—A Potential Biorefinery Approach
نویسندگان
چکیده
Lignin is an abundant and renewable source capable of replacing different raw materials in the chemical industry. It can be obtained from lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) via pretreatment methods. In present study, hydrolysis lignin (HL) SunburstTM technology was utilized to investigate its enzymatic conversion. At first, soluble HL fractions were alkali solubilization followed by acid precipitation, referred as precipitated (APL). Furthermore, APL tested with three bacterial laccases identify optimal conditions for conversion into small molecular weight fractions. Among laccases, Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2) (ScLac) displayed highest rate a high dosage under extremely alkaline conditions, i.e., 50 g/L 0.25 M NaOH solution, resulting higher The increase quantitative linkages before after oxidation characterized size exclusion chromatography (SEC), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), two-dimensional heteronuclear single quantum correlation nuclear magnetic resonance (2D HSQC NMR)

Rapid potential rates of extracellular enzymatic hydrolysis in Arctic sediments
The extracellular enzymatic hydrolysis rates of three fluorescently-labeled polysaccharides (pullulan, laminarin, and xylan) were measured in the upper -11 cm of sediment cores collected near Svalbard in the Arctic Ocean. The three polysaccharides differ in molecular weight (200,000, -6,000, and -8,000 Da for pullulan, laminarin, and xylan, respectively), as well as in monomer composition, link...

Slurries of rice-straw cellulose (obtained by delignification and removal of hemicelluloses from the powdered raw material) were subjected to ultrasonic waves at different intensities for various times (constant temperature). Susceptibility of the samples to cellulose-hydrolysis increased initially with pretreatment time, reaching a maximum or a constant level thereafter. Maximum glucose yi...

Apple pomace, a waste product from the apple juice industry is a potential feedstock for biofuel and biorefinery chemical production. Optimisation of hydrolysis conditions for apple pomace hydrolysis using Viscozyme L and Celluclast 1.5L was investigated using 1 L reaction volumes. The effects of temperature, pH, β-glucosidase supplementation and substrate feeding regimes were determined. Hydro...
متن کاملReviving the Acid Hydrolysis Process of Lignocellulosic Material in Biorefinery
The acid hydrolysis of lignocellulosic material (LM) is one of the most widely studied and important subprocess in the LM biorefinery. After acid hydrolysis, LM can be converted to various biofuels, biochemicals, and biomaterials through chemical or biochemical methods. However, conventional LM acid hydrolysis is not regarded as a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly process because it h...

Background and Objectives: Enzymatic hydrolysis is an effective practical technology that recovers valuable proteins from far-less farmed fish without losing their nutritional characteristics. Enzymatic hydrolysis of protein sources such as aquatic animals is a type of protein recycling. In the present study, effects of temperature, time and concentration of papain enzyme on hydrolysis degree a...
